Thunder Bot and Titan Shock

How long until the bot strikes, how much Titan Shock then slows each enemy, how that stacks with Slow Aura and Nuke Mastery, and what it all costs. Values as of v29. Everything updates as you change it.

Step 1

How long until Thunder Bot strikes an enemy

Titan Shock only works on enemies the Thunder Bot field has touched once. The bot wanders around your tower, switches its field on for its Duration, then waits out its Cooldown. This estimates how long an enemy that stands still has to wait for that first touch.

The field grows with the total Range your bot screen shows.

The range of your tower in the game. A longer range lets the bot wander further out.

The times above are game time. Divide by the real speed: by our measurements 6.25× runs about 5 game seconds per real second, 5× about 4.

This is an estimate from a simulation, not a measured run: the bot's walk and the field sizes come from our measurements and analysis, the enemy stands still. Moving enemies pass through the field and are often struck sooner. The arena above replays single simulated enemies with the same rules, fast-forwarded.

Step 2

How much Titan Shock slows each enemy

Titan Shock is Thunder Bot's Bot+ ability. One strike is enough: for the rest of its life the enemy waits longer between attacks. More strikes add nothing. The heavier the enemy, the longer the pause, and mass grows with tier and wave. ×2 means twice the pause between two attacks.

25%level 20

5% at level 0, +1% per level. The card multiplies it by about the digits of the mass.

Struck inside Bot Bot's field?

Bot Bot's normal bonus does nothing for Titan Shock. Its field does, if the enemy is inside it at the moment of the strike.

An enemy gains 4% mass for every wave it stays alive, so one that sits at your tower keeps getting slower. Leave it at 0 for a fresh spawn.

Tournaments: pick the tier your league plays (Mythic is tier 23). The wave counter stops while Fleets are alive, so their mass does not grow from new waves until you kill them. The league's own mass curve may differ a little; this uses the tier's.

Vampire, ScatterVampire's drain is not slowed7,800×2.22
Ray19,500×2.32
Saboteur, Commander, OverchargeCommander's buff pulse is not slowed39,000×2.40

Pause = 1 + 25% × (1 + log10 of the mass). The card says "digits of the mass"; the game uses a smooth curve that lands a bit above the digit count. Melee hits, Ranged shots, the Ray shot, the Saboteur and the Overcharge's wait and charge are all slowed.

Step 3

Together with Slow Aura Mastery and Nuke Mastery

All three slows multiply, with no cap. Slow Aura Mastery stretches every enemy's pause while the Slow Aura card is equipped. Nuke Mastery does it for 300 waves after each Nuke, while its radiation runs. Titan Shock uses your settings from step 2.

Melee enemies hit every 2 s.

Level 0 means the mastery is unlocked with no research yet. Nuke Mastery's lab shows 5% to 50%; by our analysis the pause grows by twice that.

"In 5 min" counts hits in five minutes of game time once the enemy is in place and struck. Every slow here also slows your Thorns, which fire after each enemy attack.

Step 4

What it costs in medals, stones and labs

Bots are bought and upgraded with event medals. Enter what you have, and this adds up what your setup above still costs. Bot+ abilities like Titan Shock and Maximum Power also cost stones and need all five bots unlocked.

Bot Bot

Range—Duration—Cooldown—Maximum PowerBot+ · 1,250 stones—

Thunder Bot's goals are the levels you set in steps 1 and 2; Maximum Power follows step 2. Bot Bot's Range, Duration and Cooldown decide how often its field is up and where; this page does not estimate that part.

This goal costs 11,500 medals and 1,250 stones.

For scale: all of Thunder Bot is 32,500 medals (11,500 for Titan Shock, 21,000 for Range, Duration and Cooldown). Adding Bot Bot's Range, Duration, Cooldown and Maximum Power makes 79,700. Bot Bot's Bonus stat is left out, it does nothing for Titan Shock; Linger does nothing for it either. A bot respec gives back all medals, Bot+ included.

What to buy first

From the Thunder Bot levels you have, which next level of Range, Duration or Cooldown shortens the wait for the first strike the most per medal, and the next, until your medals run out. Uses where the enemy stands, your tower range and lab from step 1.

Enter the medals you have to see the order.

Labs

  • Thunder Bot - Cooldown

    25 levels · 1.81T coins · 576.7 days

    −1 s Cooldown per level, up to −25 s

More strikes: the field comes back sooner.

  • Thunder Bot - Linger Time

    20 levels · 664.85T coins · 853.7 days

Slow after the stun lasts 3 s, +0.5 s per level, up to 13 s

  • Bot Bot - Cooldown

    25 levels · 1.81T coins · 576.7 days

−1 s Bot Bot Cooldown per level, up to −25 s

Bot Bot's field is up more often, so more strikes land inside it.

  • Bot Bot - Duration

    20 levels · 664.85T coins · 853.7 days

+0.5 s Bot Bot Duration per level, up to +10 s

Bot Bot's field stays up longer.

  • Slow Aura Mastery

Pause ×1.10, +0.10 per level, up to ×2.00 while the radiation runs

The lab text says 5 % to 50 %; the pause grows by twice that.

To level 9 (your level from step 3): 50q coins, 562.5 days

  • Recharge Nuke

    7 levels · 14.43T coins · 120.0 days

Lets Nuke recharge; level 1 to 7 show 1,500 down to 300

Players report 300 waves at level 7, the length of the radiation.

The masteries also need their card mastery unlocked (1,000 stones for Slow Aura, 750 for Nuke) and a card slot each. Both mastery labs together: 100q coins and 1125.0 days.

FAQ

Why does the card say 125% less attack speed?

Titan Shock at 25%, times the five digits of an Overcharge's mass late in a run, is 125%. It does not take speed away, it stretches the pause between attacks: 125% more pause is 2.25 times the pause. The game uses a smooth curve instead of whole digits, so that Overcharge lands at ×2.40 on tier 18, wave 6,000.

Does a second strike add more slow?

No. One strike sets it for the rest of the enemy's life, and more strikes add nothing. The one exception: an enemy struck outside Bot Bot's field can get the boosted value from a later strike inside it.

Is the strike time measured in a real run?

No, it is a simulation. The size of the field, how far the bot wanders and how fast it walks come from our measurements and analysis; field size and walking speed match what we measured on bots in a live run. Where exactly the bot was at each moment of a run was not measured, so read the result as an estimate.

Titan Shock or the masteries first?

The heavier the enemy, the more Titan Shock wins. Titan Shock with maxed Maximum Power against both masteries maxed (×3 while the radiation runs), tier 18 wave 6,000: Rays, Scatters and Overcharges favour Titan Shock, Tanks and lighter enemies favour the masteries, and bosses are about even. They also cost different things: medals and stones here, card slots, stones and long labs there. Step 3 shows your own case. The Nuke vs Slow Aura Mastery page compares the two masteries.

Which Thunder Bot stats matter for Titan Shock?

Range, Duration and Cooldown decide who gets struck and how soon. Linger only changes how enemies move, so it does nothing here. More about the bot on the Thunder Bot and Bot Bot pages.

Does it work on bosses and fleets?

Yes, on every enemy type, bosses, elites and fleets included, even though Thunder Bot never stuns those. It slows melee hits, Ranged shots, the Ray shot, the Saboteur and the Overcharge, but not the Commander's buff pulse or a vampire's drain.
